Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Andre Moreno’s pursuit of photography began simply as a hobby and creative outlet. Shooting cityscapes in the beautiful town of Seattle was a great place to start, and Andre met a lot of inspiring photographers who were eager to share their knowledge. Since then, Andre’s interest has naturally gravitated towards photographing life; either editorial/street photos and portraits, or birds and wildlife in their natural habitat. He believes this is because he enjoys the interaction with his subjects, which he hopes shows through his photos.

Ayda is a self-educated artist and illustrator from the East Coast, currently loving life and creating art in the Pacific Northwest. She enjoys experimenting digitally with dynamic compositions and dramatic color palettes before creating pieces in various mediums, with an emphasis on acrylic paint. The work is an inspired exploration of nature, culture, and symbolism with an aesthetic influenced by traditional Japanese art, comics, and graphic design.

Camile Kolo is making gritty, sleepy comics and delicate, troubling, hopeful larger works out of ink, gouache, and acrylic on paper. Currently making art in Los Angeles, she grew up in Seattle and promises she’s still stepping in psychic puddles. You might see some of her t-shirts out in the sun, though.

Evan is a Pacific Northwest native. She grew up in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. Evan studied advertising and fine art at Washington State University in (glorious) Pullman, Washington prior to returning to Seattle. The current focus of Evan’s work is exploring methods of translating the rejuvenating impact of nature onto canvas. The rich and varied environment of the Pacific Northwest plays a great influence. Studying natural forms, and the manner in which color and shadows shift throughout the day, inform her technique and palette selection. She works primarily in acrylic and mixed media – finding undulating storm clouds moving in over the Sound, as well as sun-dappled trails to boast a serene sense of calm- and infinite inspiration.

Lightning wielding, mixed media artist Kyle Krauskopf creates like other people breathe. Given two year long projects Krauskopf is fresh off completing a year long, daily drawing challenge. The project consisted of producing a six-inch-square mixed media piece each day for the calendar year of 2019.  Besides Small Drawings High Hopes, past accomplishments have included Illustrated Fare – a food oriented portrait series and 365 Days of Wood – a daily wood working project revolving around a scroll saw. Krauskopf is also given to grandiose ideas such as The Virago Artist Collective- an international, multi-artist collaboration, highlighting influential and kick-ass women throughout history.  When not actively working on his craft you can find Krauskopf helping people build things such as the Flying Bike Brewery in Greenwood, WA, the up and coming Museum of Museums in First Hill, WA, or the Atlantis Artist Collective in world famous Pike Place Market, Seattle, WA. Sometimes he takes a “break” but it almost always involves a drink and brainstorming the next idea.

Matthew Cory is Pacific Northwest artist and is inspired by the local natural environment and cultural attitude. The music, the scenery, the technology and family history have all made an impact on what and how he creates. Everyone and every culture contributes bits of truth to the cosmic whole, with their stories of how we came to be and why we are here; be it myth or fact, the lessons and inspiration are there to guide. The world is joined and connected by dualistic thoughts. By playing with combinations of patterns and blank space, young and old, plastic and wood, modern and ancient, material and spiritual, Matthew intends to create pieces that possess both tension and unity within the whole. He is a poet, a musician, an artist, a graphic designer, a husband and a father.

Sam Trout is a multi-disciplinary artist. His diverse body of work taps the ability to reach something special within each of us. His 20 years of experience working and living in Seattle has allowed him to flourish in the Seattle art scene. Sam has made his way into the public art sphere through public art grants and murals for private clients. Along the way he also created his own clothing line, a body of abstract paintings, several temporary installations, and murals.  In the early 2000’s Sam helped forever change the Seattle art and craft scene by co-curating one of the first DIY crafter sales in the United States, “I Heart Rummage”. This event gave the new generation of artists and crafters the opportunity to hone their craft and marketing skills and try them out on a welcoming Seattle scene.  These days, Sam is working hard to push his art to even larger scales with his installations, paintings, and public art. With his largest mural to date just installed on Broadway during the Covid crisis Sam has also been working to engage his audience through his social media outlets. After the crisis is over Sam will continue teaching his new “Beginning Spray Painting” class to people who want to get a leg up on this difficult medium.

Art has always been a passion of Sarah Ghanooni’s; whether it’s painting, drawing, designing, or music. Sarah grew up from a diverse background of Middle-Eastern and Mexican heritage. From an early age she learned about artists like Monet, Van Gogh, and Picasso and they definitely played a part in her wanting to be an artist and influenced her impressionist style. Sarah uses very big brushstrokes and tries not to get caught up in all the little details, which can be more freeing. Sarah takes her inspiration from nature, dance, and music. Through the brushstrokes she can express what she cannot always say.

Sure Woolf feels as though she has met her artistic goals when she has transported the viewer into the world of the painting but while the viewer remains aware her hand wielded the brush. The painting walks a line between invoking reality and a collection of brush strokes. Suze will become obsessed with the source of an image, and repeat it 2, 3, 6 times and more; she wakes up at night thinking about it and occasionally gets up to paint all night. She carries her paints to many locations. Much of Suze’s subject matter shares a theme of human impact on the environment. She is equally fascinated by subjects not usually considered “art-worthy”, such as light switches or the numbers on telephone poles. Whether it is her anxiety about climate change expressed in paintings of burned-over forests, or the eerily beautiful and faintly disturbing paintings of night-time industrial settings, Suze knows that her best work contains both awe and ambivalence.

Inspired by Mount Rainier, the colors, and landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, Sydney Russell grew up interested in capturing the beauty of this place through creative endeavors. Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, Sydney was introduced to art through her father, a neon glass blower who worked with Dale Chihuly at the beginning of his career. She started exploring calligraphy and hand lettering and gradually expanded her art repertoire to include graphic design, wood projects, watercolor, acrylic, and pen and ink illustrations. Sydney loves celebrating the natural beauty of this place and hopes to communicate that passion through her creative portfolio. Sydney is happy to create personalized, commissioned pieces, or sell any of her available designs.
