FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are Apex Art Lab’s hours?

We are open Monday through Thursday 9:30AM-6PM, and on Friday 9:30-2PM. Saturday appointments can be made by request.

What is the AAL Digital Collection?

All of the images in the AAL Digital Collection are on-demand artworks that are made per your specification. While most can be made up to 60”, each piece is noted with a maximum size, and all can be made on any substrate: paper, canvas, wood, acrylic, etc. We do not sell loose prints or canvas, only manufactured artworks: framed or stretched.

Can I customize artwork from the AAL Collection?

Yes! Simple customizations like cropping or minor color edits can be made per the specifications of your project. We can also split single images into diptychs or triptychs. Larger customization will require consultation with one of our art advisors, and may be subject to editing fees.

What are the curated collections about?

As art consultants and curators, we love coming up with beautiful framed displays. The different collections have been put together to represent some of the hottest trends and color palettes in Seattle.

Can I buy prints unframed?

Unfortunately, no. We only offer our collection as manufactured artworks: framed art, stretch canvas, on acrylic with standoff hardware, or on wood or metal.

What size can I order images in?

Every piece in the collection is printed to your exact specifications and can for the most part be printed up to 60”. Maximum sizes are listed per each artwork in the description.

What material can I have these on?

Images can be printed on paper, canvas, wood, acrylic, or metal. Request a pricing guide HERE

How accurate are the presented image colors?

Because all display monitors vary, color may be presented slightly differently on your screen than in real life. Drastic color changes would be due to manufacturing error and will be fixed by AAL no charge.

Can I send you digital images to print & frame?

Yes! Feel free to send us your digital images and requested size and we can print and frame to your specifications.

How do I order from the AAL Collection?

All images in the collection are available on demand. Call us at 206-913-2692 or email us at info@apexartlab.com with what size and substrate you want and we can send you a formal quote. At that point we require a 50% deposit to get orders to production.

Are all of the images online available for sale in your showroom?

Not necessarily. While we may have some on hand, all online images are made to order per your specifications. Our showroom product is generally more custom images and framing presentations.

What are designer discounts?

While we work directly with retail customers, for people or institutions that have a current reseller permit, we can offer significant wholesale pricing on art, mirrors, and framing. For volume orders, we can offer additional discounts. Contact us today to learn more! info@apexartlab.com / 206-913-2694

Yes! We can make both flat & beveled mirrors at any size, with any of our thousands of moulding options. If you need a certain outer dimension, just let us know and we’ll guarantee the finished product is exactly that.

Does Apex Art Lab offer shipping?

AAL does not offer shipping services, however we do deliver anywhere within the state of Washington. If you need shipping, this can be arranged through a third party service.

How long do orders take?

For custom framing projects, upon receipt of 50% payment, average lead time is generally 2 weeks. If in-house stock materials are used we can generally complete orders within 1 week. For larger projects (20+ pieces), lead time can be up to 3 or more weeks, and depends on materials.

What is your availability for installations?

Availability fluctuates. Contact us for openings. Typically we are booked out 2-4 weeks, but can accommodate sooner depending on scope.

Do you have a minimum / maximum amount you can install?

We do have a minimum charge of $250 for installations (1 hour), although we do not have a minimum number of pieces- no job is too small. In our experience, no job has been too large from a quantity standpoint. We can hang one piece up to several hundred, although it may be stretched out over a period of several days depending on scope.

There is a weight limit as to what we can safely install. It depends on height, type of wall, and dimensions of the piece, but we can generally hang pieces up to 200 lbs at a reasonable size and at eye level.

How much does custom framing cost?

Pricing for custom framing varies greatly depending on many factors. We have very competitive pricing. For AAL Collection standard pricing, you can request a pricing guide HERE. Contact us for any other pricing questions, or to receive a quote.

Can you frame other things besides art?

Yes! We can frame objects, mirrors, memorabilia, jerseys, and many other dimensional things. It doesn’t have to be a print or canvas to be framed.
